Changes to the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act

Legislation HB1452 has been introduced in the Illinois General Assembly that would amend the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act by making changes regarding: grounds for dissolution of marriage; temporary relief; disposition of property and debts; child support; attorney's fees; modification of provisions of judgments; educational expenses; custody proceedings; allocation and restriction of parental responsibilities; parenting plans; enforcement of allocated parenting time; and other matters.

HB1452 legislation that would amend the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act Third Reading PASSED the House Chamber today and is placed on the Senate Calendar Order of First Reading April 29, 2014.


The medanskylaw-divorce-guide page will be updated to reflect any changes to the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act when the pending legislation HB1452 becomes law and is assigned a Public Act number.
